Hibernation for Healing

a journey of storytelling and embodied experiences for processing change

Nov 15, 2020 - Feb 27, 2021

with Liz Moyer & Shawna Emerick

β€” REGISTRATION IS CLOSED β€”

Join us for a 4-month journey of storytelling and embodied experiences to process the many forms of change occurring during this holiday season. From the personal to the political, we will use the winter solstice to reflect on this season’s descent into darkness and re-emergence of light as themes that are reflective of larger patterns in our lives, society and the world at large.

Warm your feet by the fire of our co-created community space. Every two weeks we gather in Circle to speak from the heart and share our stories about how this time of change is manifesting and impacting us. In Circle our main practice is listening, as we open our hearts and hold space for one another in authentic, empathic ways. An arc of themes guides each Circle and welcomes reflections on everything from the personal (such as spiritual changes and personal growth, this strange holiday season, family and relationships, etc.) to the collective (like the climate crisis, racial injustice, COVID-19 pandemic, etc).

Embodied experiences - such as yogic and somatic practices, breath work, meditation and mindful movement - are used in Circle and offered through recorded videos to further support processing and healing. We will use embodiment practices to invite in rest and explore this time of descent as one of preparation; allowing things to clear in order to have space for the new. Conserving energy so we can listen and feel into where we want to head next when the light starts to come back in.

As our culture, society and world continues to change so does our sense of identity, politics, community and consciousness. We’re grateful to welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, bodies, perspectives and philosophical or political views to join us in community. We use this community agreement as our backbone for how we practice relating to one another.

This program isn't a hibernation to sleep, this is a hibernation to hold us in our gentle shedding of what no longer serves as we ride the waves of change and welcome in the transformation knocking at our doors.

We would love for you to join us.

About Liz & Shawna

Liz Moyer

Hi πŸ‘‹ I’m Liz. I’m an empath and change maker, who has been an advocate of feelings my whole life. It was the feelings I felt the first time I learned about poverty that set me on a path of international sustainable development and social justice. Flash forward 10 years, I’ve combined my passion for systems change with my passion for healing to offer We Heal for All, an organization that helps people come into a fuller relationship with world change by privileging their emotional, psychological and spiritual experiences with it. I’m grateful (and deeply humbled) to be offering this journey with Shawna; to come together in community about our changing times and to offer space that helps us process and move through challenging emotions in order to give birth to new paradigms within and outside of ourselves. You can learn more about me and my identity here.

Shawna Emerick

Hi, πŸ™I’m Shawna and I am deeply honored to be able to be with Liz and you on this journey.  I have always been an embodied being. Growing up in the dance studios and later graduating with a dance degree, I was always curious about movement and it’s relationship with healing beyond the physical body.  Fast forward thru over 16 years of many Yoga teacher trainings, attuned in Reiki, many Thai Yoga Massage trainings, and becoming a Life Coach for Transformation(let alone my own personal experiences thru life and motherhood), I now know and deeply believe that the body holds wisdom. We all hold wisdom; within our bodies, hearts, and Spirits. To move Ones body is to move the very Life Force of Source within us; we are Creators and we can heal ourselves as well as the collective, but it starts with us.  You can learn more about me here.
